A New Voltage-Programmed Pixel Structure Compensating for Threshold Voltage Shift of Organic Thin Film Transistor
A new voltage-programmed pixel circuit using soluble-processed organic thin film transistors (OTFTs) for an active matrix organic light emitting diode (AMOLED) is proposed. The proposed circuit is composed of four switching TFTs, one driving TFT and one storage capacitor, which is simulated by HSPICE. The proposed circuit can compensate for the non-uniformity of OLED current caused by the thres...
متن کاملDesign of Current Programmed Amorphous Silicon AMOLED Pixel C
The present work describes in detail the design of currentprogrammed amorphous Silicon (a-Si:H) Active matrix organic light emitting diode (AMOLED) pixel circuits. The central design principle in these circuits is described and tradeoffs between TFT sizes and supply voltage elaborated. It is shown that drive currents as high as 20μA can be achieved with very good linearity.
متن کاملStudy of the Dependency on Magnetic Field and Bias Voltage of an AC-Biased TES Microcalorimeter
At SRON we are studying the performance of a Goddard Space Flight Center single pixel TES microcalorimeter operated in an AC bias configuration. For x-ray photons at 6 keV the pixel shows an x-ray energy resolution ΔEFWHM =3.7 eV, which is about a factor 2 worse than the energy resolution observed in an identical DC-biased pixel. In order to better understand the reasons for this discrepancy we...
متن کاملNovel a-Si:H TFT Vth Compensation Pixel Circuit for AMOLED
A pixel design for active matrix organic light emitting diode (AM-OLED) displays employing hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si:H) thin film transistors (TFTs) is proposed. The proposed pixel circuit, which composed of five TFTs and one capacitor, could compensate the shift of threshold voltage of OLED as well as the threshold voltage of a-Si:H. We fabricated the pixel circuits on the glass sub...
متن کامل4.2: Design of an Improved Pixel for a Polysilicon Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode Display
A polysilicon transistor based active matrix organic light emitting diode (AMOLED) pixel with high pixel to pixel luminance uniformity is reported. The new pixel powers the OLEDs with small constant currents to ensure consistent brightness and extended life. Excellent pixel to pixel current drive uniformity is obtained despite the threshold voltage variation inherent in polysilicon transistors....
